About Iden Wood Camp

Why did we create Iden Wood Campsite?

Since living on the land for 15 years, Tony and his family have gotten to know and love Iden Wood Farm. So many people have said, throughout this time that it would make such a great site for people to also enjoy, so we thought we would open it up for just that. Two years ago, we set about improving the access to the site, building facilities and preparing the field to make it a campsite.

Ultimately, we want it to be a relaxing experience - from the pleasant drive up to the site, to striking camp and relaxing, to walking in the bluebell woods.

The idea

Iden Wood Campsite is about space. Set within bluebell rich woodlands in Iden, East Sussex, you can expect a plot on a field of 10 acres with 20 acres to explore (with footpaths out to Sussex and Kent). We call this low density camping, because we aim to have no more than 30 pitches on site at any one time, meaning you’re likely to have 80-100ft of space between you and the next campers (unless you want to be closer of course).

Open from May to September, the campsite is your base for exploring East Sussex, with medieval Rye or the market town Tenterden nearby. It’s a family and dog friendly site, with all the facilities you’ll need for a memorable camp.
