General
Do you allow dogs on site?
Dogs are permitted on site but must be kept under control. We charge £2 per dog for the whole stay.
How long are you open?
We are open for 60 days of the year, during May to September.
Do you have a minimum stay?
No, currently you can do a 1 night stay (though please do stay longer!)
How do I make a booking?
All bookings must be paid in cash as there are no card facilities on site.
Provisional bookings can be made either by the contact form or on the phone. You can also pop over to the site and make a booking face to face. The bookings team are available Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm.
How do I confirm my booking?
Provisional booking information will be sent by email to you to check, if you respond via email or phone, we can lock in your booking.
When is payment due?
We require payment for your stay to be made upon arrival at Iden Wood Camp.
Is there security onsite?
We have CCTV at the entrance to the camp to monitor arrivals.
Do you have tents for hire?
We do not currently have tents for hire.
Do you have First Aid equipment?
First Aid kits are available in the toilet / shower blocks and we have First Aid trained staff. It is however the responsibility of each group to make appropriate provisions for bringing their own kits to site.
Are drones allowed on site?
No drones of any sort are allowed on site. If you have a specific reason why you need one, please contact the Manager to request permission.
Are fireworks allowed on site?
No fireworks are allowed.
I have lost an item onsite - how can I let you know and try to get the item back?
You can either email or phone us and we will do everything we can do locate and return any lost property.
Arrival
When should I arrive?
Arrive any time between 1pm and 6pm.
What happens upon arrival at Iden Wood Camp?
A warm welcome awaits you. Upon arrival please call us to, we will then meet you to confirm your arrival and check in. If you have any issues with your campsite or building when you arrive, please notify our team immediately so that we are able to address the matter.
Will vehicles be allowed access to our campsite?
Yes, we allow vehicles to drive to your pitch.
Where is the nearest train station?
The nearest train station is Rye. Southern Trains operate services to the nearest stops to Iden Wood Camp. You will then need to get a bus from Rye station to Coldharbour Lane. Please see here for Google Maps directions
Where is the nearest bus stop?

Facilities
Do you have showers at Iden Wood Camp?
Yes, we have a toilet and shower block with 2 male and 2 female toilets and 2 male and 2 female showers.
What is your policy on smoking?
Whilst we understand people have the right to smoke, we recognise people have a choice. We also acknowledge that non-smokers have right and choices. All buildings are smoke-free zones and people should be actively discouraged from smoking around young people.
What is your policy on drinking?
We also allow alcohol to be consumed on the campsite, though we ask that you keep drinking to your plot.
What can I buy onsite?
We offer the following to be bought onsite:
Firewood, kindling and fire starter pack
Broadoak Bangers sausages and burgers
Are we allowed to have open fires on site?
Open fires are permitted as long as they are in the designated stone circles. Kindling and logs are available for purchase.
Do you have fire extinguishers?
We provide sand buckets for extinguishing fires and they are situated around the facilities block.
Are we allowed barbecues?
Yes - you are welcome to bring your own barbecue. If you are planning to bring disposable barbecues, please make sure that they are lifted off the ground when lit - we can supply the means to do this, please contact us. Do not light barbecues inside your tent.
Do you have washing up sinks?
We have sinks for washing up but they only have cold taps, situated in the kitchen area. We also have a portable toilet emptying point.
Is the water at Iden Wood Camp suitable for drinking?
Yes, there’s drinking water available in the kitchen area.
What should we do with waste?
We ask you to bag up your waste and bring bin bags for your site. We supply Wheelie bins and Recycling bins on the site for the disposal of your waste.
Is bedding provided/What should I bring?
We do not supply bedding, you need to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow.
What extra equipment should I bring/will I need?
Knives, cutlery and chopping boards are not supplied.
Are toilet rolls supplied?
Toilet rolls are supplied in the toilet block.
Where are the nearest supermarkets and food shops?
Iden Village Stores & Post Office (less than a mile)
Jempsons in Peasmarsh (2 miles)

Waitrose in Tenterden (9 miles)
Can I bring a gas stove and where can I buy camping gas?
You are allowed to bring a gas stove with you to cook on during your camp.
Local businesses that sell camping gas can be found on this website.
Do you have a launderette?
No, however there are launderettes at these locations:
Revolution Launderette at Jempsons in Rye (3 miles)
Rope Walk Arcade in Rye (3 miles)
Do you have electric car chargers onsite?
No. We do not have electric car chargers. There are local public chargers that are available to use. We recommend using this app to find the nearest local points.
Departures
What time is departures?
Please checkout before 11am.
What do we do when we are ready to depart?
Please notify us just before your departure. Please ensure that you have checked your site for litter.
Accessibility
We have a person attending with additional needs. What suitable facilities do you have?
Whilst we are constantly making improvements to our facilities, access to the toilet and shower block is currently restricted. We recommend the usage of portable toilets, we do have emptying and cleaning facilities on site. Should you have any queries or requests about accessibility, please contact us as we are happy to discuss and accommodate as much as we are able to.
Assistance dogs are welcome on site.
